Every stitch has a story. Ours begins with a mother.
Her name is Naik Bibi. As a young girl in Pattoki, she learned the art of stitching from her brother — sitting beside him, watching his hands, falling in love with thread and fabric before she even had words for it.
That childhood passion never left her. Years later, after marriage, she turned that love into discipline — enrolling in a tailoring diploma at Fauji Foundation School and graduating with 85% marks. Then she did what every great craftsperson eventually does: she started teaching. She opened her own academy in Pattoki, where young girls came to learn not just how to stitch, but how to carry themselves with the quiet confidence of someone who has mastered something real.
Life eventually asked her to pause. Weak eyesight, growing children, a home to run. The academy closed. But the passion never died.
Years later, a phone call changed everything.
Our friend Maria Sartaj, an overseas Pakistani living in Canada, said something simple: "Finding a good tailor here is nearly impossible — and when you do, it costs a fortune."
We knew that feeling. Millions of Pakistani women abroad know it — beautiful unstitched fabric sitting in a suitcase for years, because no one nearby can cut a gala the way home could.
So we built the bridge.
Silai.pk is a platform for overseas Pakistanis. Send us your fabric, or let us source the finest unstitched cloth from top Pakistani brands — and we'll stitch it with the same love, care, and mastery Naik Bibi always poured into her work. Then we deliver it straight to your doorstep, wherever in the world you call home.
We are not just a tailoring service. We are the feeling of opening a parcel and finding that something finally fits — in every sense of the word.

How to measure yourself at home — in 6 easy steps.
Measurements in inches
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal. Note this in inches.
Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist — usually about 1 inch above your belly button.
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks, about 8 inches below the waist.
Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the other, across the back. This determines the kameez width at the top.
From the top of your shoulder down to where you want the kameez to end. Typical: 42–50 inches depending on style.
From your natural waist down to your ankle. Usually 38–42 inches. For Tulip Shalwar, measure to just below the knee.
From the shoulder point down to the wrist. For full sleeves: ~21–23 inches. For 3/4 sleeves: ~16–18 inches.
